For unsecured loans our rates range from 6.95% (6.95% comparison rate*) to a maximum of 21.99% (23.57% comparison rate). Our loans are from $5,000 to $80,000 over 3, 5 or 7 years.

Frequently asked questions

Who can apply?

Anyone who is over 18 years old and a citizen or permanent resident, currently living in Australia, who is employed and earns at least $20,000 per year (the majority of your income cannot be from Government benefits) can apply.

How much can I borrow?

MoneyPlace loans are from $5,000 to a maximum of $80,000, for either 3, 5 or 7 years. It should be noted however, that the maximum amount we will lend you depends on a number of factors including your credit history.

What will my interest rate be?

We assess our borrowers based on a number of factors, such as their credit score and financial history. To find out what your rate will be, you must check your tailored rate here. It takes just 2 minutes to find out your rate and is completely obligation fee.

What are your fees and charges?

In some circumstance we may charge an Establishment Fee when your loan is drawn down. It covers the cost of providing you with credit assistance, which includes the assessment and verification services we undertake to establish your loan. Our Establishment Fee is non-refundable.

We do not have any monthly or annual fees, or penalties for making early repayments. Other lenders often include fees like these so we recommend you check this carefully if considering other lenders.

Can I add security to my loan?

Yes. When you apply for a loan with MoneyPlace you may be given the option to use a vehicle as collateral to secure your loan to access a lower interest rate, a higher borrowing limit, or both. The car can be one that you already own outright, or it may be one that you are purchasing or refinancing with your MoneyPlace loan.

What can I use my money for?

You can use your MoneyPlace loan for almost anything you want. You may not use your loan for anything illegal. Other than that, it’s pretty much up to you.

Will you affect my credit score?

When you get a rate estimate from us we access your credit file in a way that is not visible to other credit providers and does not affect your credit score. When you submit a full loan application we do what is called a 'full credit enquiry' which other credit providers can see and which might affect your score.

Our customers have saved an average $5,654 over the term of their loan when they consolidated their credit cards and personal loans with us.

Savings are based on the average amount of credit card and personal loan debt consolidated by MoneyPlace customers, using the average interest rate and fees for such accounts (as published by ANZ, Westpac, NAB, and CBA); and upon the average loan size, interest rate and fees paid by MoneyPlace customers over a 5 year loan term. Individual circumstances will vary.
